Middle Earth hosts a variety of events throughout the year that raise funds, encourage volunteerism, celebrate our programs or increase awareness for the agency. We hope you'll consider joining us - you can have fun and support your community at the same time! Our events are:
Tour of Somerville
Sat, May 24 - Sun, May 26
The Tour of Somerville Cycling Series is an exciting three-day event of competitive cycling for professionals and amateurs that takes place every Memorial Day weekend in Somerset County. In addition to the races, there is great family entertainment. You can learn more about the event at the Tour's official site: www.tourofsomerville.org.
A Night At the Ballpark
Friday, August 1
Join us on Friday, August 1st at 7:05 p.m. as the Somerset Patriots host a "Middle Earth Night" at TD Bank Ballpark for a fun ballgame! The Patriots are taking on the Lancaster Barnstormers. There will be fireworks after the game! We will also have raffles, field activities for the youth, and fun for the whole family! Please buy your tickets ($10) from Middle Earth by calling our office at 908-725-7223 - every ticket purchased through us helps support our youth programs.
Fairs and Carnivals
Middle Earth hosts a hamburger stand every May at the Bound Brook Fireman's Carnival and every August at the Somerset County 4-H Fair, encouraging volunteerism among our youth and raising funds for our agency. You can support us by purchasing food from our tent or volunteering to help with the food preparation!
"Run from Winter" 10K Race
Middle Earth hosts a 10K run through Duke Island Park on the third weekend in March. The event raises funds for Middle Earth and fills a void in the local area for races that are longer than 5K but not a half marathon. Prizes for top winners and t-shirts for all racers are distributed. Get more information by visiting our event page.
