Middle Earth hosts a variety of events throughout the year that raise funds, encourage volunteerism, celebrate our programs or increase awareness for the agency. We hope you'll consider joining us - you can have fun and support your community at the same time! Our events are:

Paul Failla starring in "The Class in Life"

Saturday, October 4 at 7pm

The Class of Life is a theatrical experience that takes the audience on a journey highlighting one man’s life and many people’s experiences. You can learn more at www.theclassoflife.com. The performance is approximately 2 hours including one 15-20 minute intermission. The event will take place at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 158 West High Street, in Somerville. Tickets are $25 each (17 years and older please). Doors open at 6:45pm and show begins at 7pm. Reception to follow; light refreshments will be served after the show. The event raises funds for the Jessamine Smith Henderson Memorial Adult Education Scholarship Fund and Middle Earth.

Reception at the United States Golf Association Museum

Tuesday, October 14 from 5 - 9 p.m.

Join us at the beautiful Golf Association Museum, 77 Liberty Corner Road in Far Hills, NJ, for: Beer, Wine, and Heavy Hors D'oeuvres; Putting Green Contests; Guided Museum Tours; and a Silent Auction (including items from Middle Earth youth). "Run from Winter" 10K Race

Middle Earth hosts a 10K run through Duke Island Park on the third weekend in March. The event raises funds for Middle Earth and fills a void in the local area for races that are longer than 5K but not a half marathon. Prizes for top winners and t-shirts for all racers are distributed. Get more information by visiting our event page.

Tour of Somerville

The Tour of Somerville Cycling Series is an exciting three-day event of competitive cycling for professionals and amateurs that takes place every Memorial Day weekend in Somerset County. In addition to the races, there is great family entertainment. You can learn more about the event at the Tour's official site: www.tourofsomerville.org.

A Night At the Ballpark

During July or August, the Somerset Patriots host a "Middle Earth Night" at TD Bank Ballpark for a fun ballgame! The Patriots are taking on the Lancaster Barnstormers. There will be fireworks after the game! We will also have raffles, field activities for the youth, and fun for the whole family! Please buy your tickets ($10) from Middle Earth by calling our office at 908-725-7223 - every ticket purchased through us helps support our youth programs.

Somerset County 4-H Fair

Middle Earth hosts a hamburger stand every August at the Somerset County 4-H Fair, encouraging volunteerism among our youth and raising funds for our agency. You can support us by purchasing food from our tent or volunteering to help with the food preparation!
